📅 Recording leave

Enter a single day, a half day or a whole period in one go.

• Pick a start and an end date — use the same date for a single day.
• Tick Starts in the afternoon or Ends at noon for a half day.
• Choose Paid leave (deducted) or Exceptional day (recorded but not deducted).
• The deduction is shown live as you type, before you save.

🧮 How days are counted

Only working days are deducted. The app excludes automatically:

• Saturdays and Sundays;
• the eleven French public holidays, including the movable ones based on Easter;
• Good Friday and St Stephen's Day when the Alsace-Moselle regime is enabled.

A leave spanning two calendar years is split: each year is charged only for the days that fall within it.

➕ Worked days

Worked a public holiday or a weekend? Record it, and it credits your entitlement — a full day or a half day.

The reason (public holiday or weekend) is derived from the date, so there is nothing to choose. An ordinary working day is rejected: it is already part of your normal working time.

⚖️ How your balance is built

The dashboard applies one simple formula:

annual entitlement + carry-over + worked days − paid leave taken

Exceptional days never enter this calculation. They are recorded and shown on the calendar, but they never consume your entitlement.

🗓 The calendar

Two views: a full month, or the twelve months of a year side by side.

• A half-shaded cell means a half day — top half for a morning, bottom half for an afternoon.
• Hatched cells are the two Alsace-Moselle holidays.
• Hover any cell for the full detail; click a free one to book leave on that date.

🔒 Accounts

• The administrator records leave, sets the entitlement and creates accounts. Two-factor authentication is enabled on this account.
• Read-only accounts can browse the list, the calendar and the balance, but cannot change anything.
• There is no public sign-up: every account is created by the administrator.

📤 Exports

A yearly PDF summary with the balance and both tables, and a CSV export that opens straight into a spreadsheet — both from the dashboard, for the year on display.

🔁 Year-end closing

Closing a year freezes its remaining balance and carries it over to the next one. It is a deliberate action, never automatic: a late entry on a closed year will never silently change the years that follow.
